It is of the utmost importance that everything we do is done with that in mind- second rate is never good enough. Only a job done well- as well as we can do it as well as it can be done is our goal.

Our most important and most consequential work has always been towards growing, protecting and sustaining the environment, and we believe that our unwavering and uncompromising commitment to reduce, avoid and stop any harm to the planet has been a cornerstone of the organization’s working.

Our History
Perfact Group was established on January 22, 2004, as a total environmental solutions provider for major real estate, mining, and industrial assignments. Our goal was to bridge the gap in the market for dedicated, reliable, and technically sound consultancy services, particularly in the real estate sector. In April 2004, we acquired membership in the International Association of Electronic Waste Recyclers (IAER) in the United States.
In July 2004, the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) issued a notification requiring all building construction projects with a cost of more than INR 50 crore and waste water discharge of 50 KLD to obtain prior environmental clearance under the EIA Notification, 1994. We began taking on building construction projects in early 2005 for Ansal Properties, Bestech Group, and Omaxe Limited. We conducted the first public hearing for building construction projects in mid-2005 and presented the first EIA for building construction projects to the MoEF in late 2005.
Thanks to our excellent understanding of infrastructure development in the National Capital Region (NCR) and allied areas, we became the go-to agency for environmental clearances for major developments in the NCR, with more than 60-70% of cases at the Expert Appraisal Committee (Infrastructure) being handled by Perfact Group. We were among the first 10 companies to receive NABET/MoEF accreditation in 2010.
In 2012-2013, we were engaged for India’s first leather tannery cluster in Ramaipur, Kanpur Nagar, and in 2018-2019 for NMCG’s 20 MLD Common Effluent Treatment Plant in Jajmau, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
From 2012-2013, we made an ecological report of a lake in Bahadurgarh, which was appraised by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and prevented its takeover by the Haryana Urban Development Authority for road construction. In 2013, we completed a noise study at NH-8 near the toll plaza to assess the impact of noise on the adjacent residential area. The report suggested the design of noise barriers at the boundary of the residential area to reduce the impact of traffic noise. The report was appraised by the NGT and allowed road expansion with the mitigating measures suggested in the report.
Starting in 2010, we have been at the forefront of providing EIA services to aerial ropeway assignments, including major religious/tourism projects such as Girnar, Savitri Devi, Surkanda Devi, Matheran, Hemkund, Tsomgo, Shivkhori, Jivdani, Radha Rani, and Sabrimala.
From 2014-2015, we were engaged in several major integrated (industrial, residential, and commercial) government development assignments, including Trans Ganga City Kanpur, Saraswati Hi-Tech City in Naini, Allahabad. In 2018, the NGT suggested our organization for consultation on the development of a botanical garden at the ISKON Temple in Vrindavan.
In 2015-2016, we were engaged as consultants for the Gomti River Front development project in Lucknow by the Irrigation Department of Uttar Pradesh.
We have also played an essential role in the development of the Delhi Aerocity around the Indira Gandhi International Airport and provided services to the Mohali, Chandigarh, Safdarjung, and Kolkata airports.
Perfact Group has been actively engaged in shaping environmental policy in India. In 2016, we pushed the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEF&CC) to develop a clearer policy for change in product mix and expansion without increasing pollution load.
In 2019, we assisted the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) and MOEFCC with the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) to develop a revised standard TOR and auto TOR without the need for an Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) meeting.
In 2020, we assisted NABET and MOEFCC with NEERI to develop standard EC conditions and contributed to the MOEFCC definition of pollution load for the purposes of EC.
In 2022, we organized a workshop on Life Cycle Assessment, Pollution Load Assessment, and Quantitative Risk Assessment to help the MOEFCC and EACs better understand these topics before incorporating them into policy.
We also started working with the MOEFCC as User Acceptance Testers and Advisors to EY and other organizations in preparing PARIVESH 2.0, a new system that includes automated data validation and updated forms and workflows.
In addition to these formal initiatives, we have also been informally in touch with lawmakers and regulators at various levels to provide practical and implementable policy recommendations.
